Best Research Paper to be rewarded at Romancing Print 2015

With technologies changing fast, it is difficult to foresee where exactly the print market is heading. How printing units will survive the onslaught of internet? How will they fight the increasing global competition? These are but a few questions that every printer should understand and answer, for future survival. This is one of the objective behind the annual Romancing Print with a theme “21st Century Printing”, organised by the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) to be held on 24 & 25 February’ 2015  at Hisar, Haryana in  collaboration with the Department of Printing Technology,  (GJUS&T)Hisar.

According to Anand Limaye, Honorary General Secretary, AIFMP, the event will have presentations by resource persons from India and abroad and research paper presentations by faculty members, researchers, industry experts, and students from all over India.

Anand said the best research paper received from a print technology student, and the best paper from a print teacher will be awarded Rs 1,00,000 each. The research papers will be evaluated by international experts.

“All the papers received and presented during the two-day conference will be collected in a book with ISBN number, so that further studies and research is possible on the subject,” added Anand.

At the research-oriented international conference, technologists and ‘print pundits’ from across the globe will share their views on the future trends in printing and packaging. The invited experts include: Wang Yongsheng, Vice-Chancellor, Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication; Sidney Bobb, Chairman, British Association for Print & Communication; Yen Chen, President, China Print Academy; Håvard Grjotheim, CEO, 07 Media & President of Intergraf; Beatrice Klause, Secretary General, Intergraf.

There will also be Indian experts including names like Dr . Rajendrakumar Anayath, CN Ashok and Kiran Prayagi who will present industry stories.

Kamal Chopra, Chairman, International Relations, AIFMP, said, “Innovative business models pave the way for a secure future. At this must-attend conference, the experts will share their views and insights on how to withstand the challenges technology and competition pose to the print business.”
