Blue Star Group is installing four of the machines, Fuji Xerox’s latest iGen 5 press at two of its locations.
Blue Star, a division of parent company IVE Group, will install the new Xerox iGen5 printers in its Blue Star Print and Blue Star Direct sites.
According to Blue Star, before opting for the iGen 5 model the company performed a series of spot colour tests on 50 client logos on the Xerox machine and several market rivals.
Chief executive of Blue Star Group Matt Aitken says the iGen 5 will continue to produce content trusted by clients, and persists with the division’s investment in quality machinery.
“Blue Star has built its reputation as a market leader off the back of our continual investment in technology,” says Aitken.
“Our customers trust us to deliver the best print quality with the best speed to market, and the Xerox iGen5 Presses will further help us to deliver on this promise.”
Alongside the Xerox installation, Blue Star has also invested in a number of Monochrome Nuvera 314EA Systems which are set to bolster the company’s high volume booklet printing.
The iGen5 is also set to increase the output of Blue Star Direct and boost turnaround times.
“With the capability to deliver complex jobs and match colours, while maintaining the speed and quality we’re known for, we see the Xerox iGen5 as a major element contributing to our client’s success,” says Aitken.
Fuji Xerox Australia national sales manager Adam Fittler says the iGen 5 model will improve quality and speed all print jobs at the installation sites.
